Good morning everyone,
More and more people are making a full-time income from social media. Some grow their accounts to massive sizes and then sell sponsorships, while others create amazing content that brands want to partner with.
No matter how you do it, making money from social media is a viable option for many people in any niche. This article will discuss how people make money from social media and how you can get started.
Advertisers
On all social media platforms, the way people make money is generally through advertisers.
Some platforms like YouTube allow their creators to take a direct cut of the ad revenue generated from their videos. In contrast, others like Instagram and Facebook do not.
However, this doesn’t mean that there isn’t money to be made on these platforms, thousands and thousands of people do, and you can too.
When people acquire a large following on a social platform, companies often reach out and offer them money in exchange they promote their brand’s goods or services to their followers.
This can be seen virtually everywhere on social media. It might get annoying being on the other end of the feed scrolling past ads. However, the creators are getting paid anywhere from a couple hundred to tens of thousands of dollars for these posts. Without having to do much at all.
How to Start
The first step in growing a brand on social media is to choose a niche you are familiar with.
A niche is a group of people that are particularly interested in one thing.
This can be literally anything from skateboard wheels to apple watch bands or mechanical keyboards. If you have an interest in something, chances are that someone else does too.
Now that you have chosen your niche, the next part is a little tricky but still simple.
Post consistently
Whether it is once a week or once per day, make sure you stick to your schedule. As your following begins to grow, you will need dependable and high-quality content that your followers can count on.
You are not going to see results right away, and that can be discouraging for some. But over time, as you fail ( yes, you fail) you will learn how to get better and better. It could take years before you ever see sponsors at your door, but it will be worth it when you finally do make it.
It’s important to note that most social platform algorithms reward the highest quality content.
The goal of any social platform is to keep users on their apps so that they can sell ad space and make money. They use algorithms that target individuals to keep them scrolling for as long as possible.
